Stephanie Seeney
Stephanie Seeney has recently graduated from her Advanced Post-Graduate Diploma at Trinity College of Music, studying with Alison Wells. This follows her PGDip at TCM (2006) and her undergraduate studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama from where she graduated in 2000. Stephanie has also spent several years as a head of music in a secondary school, and as a peripatetic teacher.
Her opera credits include Baba the Turk in Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress (TCM), Lockit in John Gay’s Beggar’s Opera (TCM), and Caesar in Handel’s Julius Caesar (Runaway Opera). She also recently created the role of Grace in Jacko's Hour (Opera Engine) at the Bridewell Theatre. Stephanie regularly performs with choral societies as a soloist; recent performances include Bach's Christmas Oratorio, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Handel's Messiah and Verdi's Requiem. Stephanie also sings with several professional choirs including the BBC Singers and the Academy of Ancient Music.
Outside of music, Stephanie enjoys keeping fit, and can frequently be found running up and down a hockey pitch.
